TPWD - Training and Development Specialist IV

Responsibilities
Providing professional development opportunities for all employees from New Employee Orientation through their growth trajectory
Researching, planning, designing, conducting, and evaluating workforce training and educational programs
Coordinating and conducting training on a variety of job competency areas
Developing curriculum and/or tailoring training packages to meet agency or customer needs for in-person or virtual training
Conducting formal needs and learning transfer assessments as required
Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Management, Human Resources, Public Administration, Communications or closely related field
Two years experience conducting professional training related to individual development, adult education, employee training programs, workshop facilitation, and/or educational programs
Applicant must possess or be able to obtain and hold within 30 days of employment, a Texas driver's class 'C' license
Preferred
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Adult Education, Training, Communications, or Psychology
Experience with administration and project management of training events, enrollment, marketing, and course design in state or federal agencies
Experience with planning education events for employees in dispersed, field-based locations
Experience in adult education and training delivery and curriculum development
Experience in conducting management training
Experience with e-learning systems
Experience with Adobe Captivate in creating e-learning modules and curriculum
Current certification in at least one or more diagnostic assessment instruments such as DiSC and/or Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
Current certification from the Association for Talent Development (ATD), Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or Human Capital Institute (HCI)
Certified Professional in Learning and Performance Certification (CPLPC) professional trainer or Educator certification from a professional organization or national training company
