Responsibilities
Meet with clients to assess the details of their cases
Listen carefully to clients’ accounts of incidents or accidents
Provide initial legal advice and clearly explain the legal process
Conduct in-depth research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents
Stay informed on updates in litigation and personal injury law
Evaluate case viability and potential damages
Assess factors such as injuries, medical expenses, and lost wages to determine claim value
Draft and review legal documents including complaints, petitions, motions, and settlement agreements
Prepare detailed demand letters for opposing parties or insurance carriers
Negotiate settlements and advocate for fair compensation for clients
Work with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel to resolve cases efficiently
Represent clients during trials, hearings, and arbitration proceedings
Manage all aspects of case preparation, including discovery and strategy
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active Texas Bar license required
1?2+ years of litigation experience (personal injury a plus)
Strong research, writing, and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and client management abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Preferred
Personal injury experience a plus
