Responsibilities
Purchase commodities as assigned by the Lead Buyer, or Director/Manager Purchasing, utilizing negotiating skills to obtain the most competitive price while maintaining specified quality standards and delivery requirements
Tracks and records cost savings in AX via baseline for both hard and soft savings. Hangs all documentation and multiple quotes in AX for audit purposes along with confirmation of Purchase Order
Works with Follow-up reviewing all open orders and tracks Quality, Delivery of suppliers
Works with the Shipping and Receiving department to arrange transportation of purchases
Works with the Supervisor of Manufacturing Services to verify quantity and quality of stock received from manufacturer. Resolves all discrepancies
Reviews and authorizes payment of invoices or return of merchandise should there be any issues
Inspects exchanged or refunded merchandise and works with inventory control to reduce the inventory levels
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
