BLOOM Lending Manager

Responsibilities

Manage and grow a pipeline of prospective borrowers and referral partners; maintain clear follow-up and next steps
Support borrower intake and readiness. Package loan applications for internal review, including financial analysis and loan committee presentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Coordinate application progress across internal teams and communicate clearly with borrowers throughout the process
Track portfolio performance and maintain complete, well-organized borrower files (payments, covenants/requirements, borrower updates), ensuring documentation meets program policies and regulatory requirements
Support loan administration, reporting for lending activity (pipeline, approvals, disbursements, repayment status) and recommend process improvements
Provide board/committee administration support, including agenda packets, minutes, and action-item tracking
Perform other duties as required to support team and organizational goals
Build relationships with community partners to expand referrals and strengthen BLOOM’s visibility and trust. You are passionate about seeing public–private partnership efforts come to fruition and take pride in connecting people and resources to make them succeed
Represent BLOOM / YCEA at community events, workshops, and meetings to expand visibility and promote entrepreneurial development services
Support and/or deliver workshops, classes, bootcamps, and event-based outreach in collaboration with partners and internal staff
Capture and track outreach leads in a CRM or tracking system; convert interest into scheduled advising or lending conversations

Required

1-5 years of relevant experience supporting small businesses, lending/loan administration, economic development, and/or community initiatives
Comfort working with borrower documentation and financial statements; you can explain financial concepts clearly and respectfully to business owners
Clear written and verbal communication skills and a customer-service mindset
The ability to build trust and work well with diverse stakeholders, partners, volunteers, and the public
Working knowledge of lending/banking/finance and community development concepts (or strong interest and ability to learn quickly)
You are a team player—doing the behind-the-scenes work that makes good things happen for York County
You're comfortable managing multiple priorities, meeting new people, and working with an extroverted, mission-driven team
You are a connector who thinks creatively about partnerships that expand BLOOM and YCEA's reach, impact, and visibility
You are a confident, empathetic professional who enjoys supporting entrepreneurs in reaching their potential and providing candid, constructive guidance when it's needed

Preferred

A degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Project Management, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent experience
Prior credit analysis, underwriting support, CDFI/community lending, or grant compliance/reporting experience
Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish)
Experience supporting workshops, outreach, marketing, or storytelling that engages entrepreneurs
Comfort working in a hybrid environment and supporting occasional evening/weekend events
