Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of data engineering solutions on platforms such as Databricks
Develop and optimize distributed computing workloads using Spark, with deep knowledge of Spark runtime internals
Deliver production-grade solutions leveraging CI/CD pipelines, MLOps practices, and scalable data architectures
Work across multiple cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), with deep expertise in at least one platform
Engage directly with clients to scope projects, communicate technical concepts, and ensure successful delivery
Drive performance optimizations and scalability improvements across data engineering pipelines and architectures
Stay current with Databricks products and platform features, applying best practices to client projects
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex projects
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen or GC Holder
7+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, and analytics
10+ years of consulting experience with a proven track record of client engagement
Completion of Data Engineering Professional certification and required classes
Hands-on experience delivering projects on Databricks
Working knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP), with deep expertise in at least one
Deep expertise in distributed computing frameworks, particularly Apache Spark, including runtime internals
Familiarity with CI/CD practices for production deployments
Working knowledge of MLOps and production ML pipelines
Current knowledge across the breadth of Databricks product and platform features
Experience implementing optimizations for performance, reliability, and scalability
Preferred
Experience with large-scale data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data lake architectures
Strong data modeling and analytics expertise
Experience mentoring teams and leading technical initiatives
