Responsibilities
Analyze plans/specifications and perform detailed take-offs (materials, labor, equipment, overhead) to produce accurate cost estimates, including all hidden or implied work
Lead junior estimators and collaborate across teams
Solicit, compare and negotiate vendor/subcontractor pricing, maintain current cost databases, and identify value engineering opportunities without sacrificing code compliance or system performance
Prepare bid proposals, support budget forecasting, attend pre-bid/site meetings, and ensure smooth transition of awarded work to project management/construction teams
Qualification
Required
2-5+ years professional experience in plumbing estimation - preferably at a plumbing/mechanical subcontractor
Experience across a range of building sectors, like healthcare, commercial, etc
