Information Technology Application Manager (Tax Application)
The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) is responsible for overseeing financial operations within the District of Columbia. They are seeking an IT Application Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and evaluation of IT staff supporting ERP business applications, while also consulting with business units on software evaluations and managing system improvements.
Responsibilities
Serving as a consultant to the business units on software evaluation; reviewing requirement traceability matrixes for accuracy and completeness, test cases and their results
Partnering with other OCIO managers to identify opportunities for system, process, and training improvements and leads the implementation of these enhancements
Overseeing projects, developing application support plans, prioritizing application maintenance requirements and scheduling work assignments; and assisting in the development, coordination, and administration of the OCFO's annual strategic information systems plan
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Seven (7) years of progressive work experience performing the related duties and responsibilities such as: providing oversight for the implementation, management and maintenance of a tax or financial system
leading technical planning and requirements gathering processes for current and future IT projects
developing and implementing strategic plans, policies, procedures, and making recommendations related to new software applications
one year (1) of work experience supervising lower-level staff
This position requires a mandatory three-day in-office work schedule, with on-site presence required on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays each week
