Responsibilities

Reviews and evaluates insurance applications, renewals and endorsements to, within defined authority, approve, modify or decline risks

Determines and authorizes reinsurance, if necessary

Communicates with agents and internal staff to collect necessary information to perform risk assessment

Builds and maintains positive working relationships with agents and internals staff; assists and responds to inquiries by telephone, correspondence, and agency visits

Maintains profitable business in territory through proper selection, pricing, and monitoring of business

May serve as a contributing member of project teams, or a leader of project teams, coordinating resources to ensure achievement of project activities

May provide leadership to junior staff through guidance and training

Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
