Testing Manager
Cognizance Technologies is seeking a Testing Manager to oversee all testing activities for system operations, enhancements, and upgrades. The role involves developing test plans, managing the testing lifecycle, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and compliance with standards.

Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage all testing activities for system O&M, enhancements, and upgrades
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and associated documentation in accordance with FDA standards
Ensure proper execution of:
Functional testing
Regression testing
Integration testing
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Manage the testing lifecycle for all system changes, including:
Review of requirements and specifications
Coordination with developers and system administrators
Tracking test execution and results
Reporting defects and coordinating resolution
Facilitate test readiness reviews and provide input to release approval processes
Maintain and update testing artifacts in support of audit, compliance, and quality assurance requirements
Collaborate with developers, database administrators, application security staff, and operations teams to ensure test coverage and system reliability
Track and report testing metrics, including:
Test execution status
Defects identified and resolved
Test coverage
Provide guidance and support to junior testers or QA staff
Support continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures
Qualification
Required
Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant
Journeyman-level experience managing or coordinating testing for enterprise IT systems
Knowledge of testing principles and methodologies, including: Functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, HP ALM, TestRail) and defect tracking
Ability to interpret system requirements, functional specifications, and design documents
Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Journeyman-level experience (typically 3–5 years) in software/system testing or QA management
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Ability to obtain and maintain required federal background investigation or clearance
Testing (Federal Government environment is preferred: 5 years (Required)
Software testing: 3 years (Required)
Preferred
Experience supporting regulated or federal IT systems preferred
Backend API testing: 3 years (Preferred)
Testing (Federal Government environment is preferred: 5 years (Required)
