Legal Assistant
Summit Spine and Joint Centers is on track to become the largest comprehensive spine and joint care provider in Georgia, seeking qualified individuals to join their team. The Legal Assistant will provide administrative and legal support to the legal department, focusing on maintaining regulatory compliance and assisting with legal matters to ensure efficient operation.

Responsibilities
Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, including contracts, correspondence, pleadings, and reports
Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, hearings, and court dates, and coordinate travel arrangements as needed
Organize, maintain, and update files (physical and electronic), ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance
Conduct basic legal research and gather information relevant to cases, transactions, or regulatory requirements
Communicate professionally and promptly with clients, court personnel, external counsel, and internal stakeholders
File documents with courts and regulatory agencies, following all applicable procedures and deadlines
Assist with billing and time-entry processes for attorneys
Support preparation of legal matters by organizing materials, compiling exhibits, and preparing binders or presentations
Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing mail, maintaining office supplies, and processing invoices
Ensure ongoing compliance with legal procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree required
Strong understanding of legal terminology, processes, and document formatting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal practice management software
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a legal office setting strongly preferred
