Legal Intern (Remote)
KnowBe4 is a cybersecurity company that focuses on Human Risk Management. The Legal Summer Associate will work with the Legal department on various issues in commercial law, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance, while also assisting with drafting and negotiating contractual documents.

Responsibilities
Assist with reviewing, analyzing and negotiating a wide variety of contractual documents, including non-disclosure agreements, customer agreements, data protection agreements, professional services agreements and reseller agreements
Assist with reviewing, analyzing and negotiating supplier agreements, including those related to operations, marketing, production, IT, human resources, etc
Assist with any intellectual property, trademark or copyrights issues as needed
Shadow attorneys in a wide array of legal and business matters, including in the negotiation of contracts and counseling business clients
Assist with labor and employment law research regarding developing case law and impacts on the company
Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and internal legal processes including further development of playbooks and policies/procedures
Assist with due diligence efforts for M&A and other strategic transactions as may be applicable
Research new technology and legal industry techniques to make Legal department systems and documents more efficient
Research developing cybersecurity and data privacy laws in relation to new evolving technology in the work space, including Artificial Intelligence
Complete projects related to cybersecurity and data privacy as assigned
Research varying subject matters that affect the company and its global affiliates
Qualification
Required
Research experience using Westlaw or PLI
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential with the ability to positively interact with persons at all levels of our organization
Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Proficient in the use of legal research software platforms
Talent for multi-tasking, being results oriented and organizationally proficient
Team oriented and willing to help others to achieve success
Ability to develop creative solutions
Ability to think and act independently
Ability to deal professionally, courteously and tactfully with external partners and coworkers
Self-reliant with the ability to innovate and introduce change showing sound judgment and pragmatism
Must be enrolled as a 2L student at the time of application in an ABA law school with excellent academic credentials
Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required
Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program
Preferred
Preferred top 25% of class in law school
Transactional experience is a plus
