Writing for print and digital external communications, such as consumer-facing magazines, blogs, patient videos and testimonials, and social media

Shooting and editing video and still photos for digital platforms, earned media, or publications

Writing and editing press releases and handling media pitches

Various administrative duties, such as processing vendor invoices, ordering department supplies, and scheduling meetings, among other organizational tasks

Assists at community events and media events

Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

1-5 years experience in public relations, journalism, project coordination or related field

Ability to professionally and effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, to physicians, executives and laypeople — with attention to storytelling, detail, and accuracy

SEO- and computer-literate

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Skills in videography and photography

Demonstrates strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and strong interpersonal skills

Demonstrates ability to work in a stressful environment and meet deadlines

Maintains confidentiality of information about patients and hospital strategic plans
