Responsibilities
Build and deploy applications to production—ship MVPs to AWS, iterate based on real usage
Debug infrastructure problems in distributed systems: networking, containers, firewalls, private network access
Help deploy tested packaged libraries to help the team solve problems fast
Create simple abstractions that make the whole team more productive fixing and pushing code fixes from the lab
Enable all teammates through pair programming, git basics, and tooling that works
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (recent grads welcome)
Strong CS fundamentals and curiosity about how systems work from application to network layer
Comfortable with version control (git), command line tools, and debugging methodologies
Self-motivated team player who values collaboration and doesn't stop at 'it doesn't work'
Bias toward shipping, learning by doing, and iterating based on real feedback
Preferred
Programming: The language shouldn't matter; change data into data, build tools, automate tasks, write maintainable code, understand interpreted and compiled
Testing: Writing unit tests, integration tests, understanding why tests enable velocity
Git & Workflows: Branching, merging, pull requests, keeping clean history—teaching others the essentials
Cloud/Infrastructure: Basic deployments, containers, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
Debugging: Reading logs, tracing requests, isolating problems, figuring out why things break
