Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based web applications
Build, document, and support REST APIs
Design and implement database schemas, stored procedures, and functions using PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL
Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability to meet stringent functional and performance requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and bottlenecks
Maintain high standards of code quality and participate in code reviews
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments to AWS environments
Deploy and operate services in AWS (including GovCloud)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
5–7 years of professional experience in software development
Strong proficiency in Java and SQL (preferably PostgreSQL)
Experience building and maintaining REST APIs and SOAP Web Services; familiarity with JSON and XML
Familiarity with AWS GovCloud and EC2 Linux/UNIX environments
Knowledge of JBoss application servers and related deployment/configuration
Preferred
Experience with additional programming languages or frameworks
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Exposure to government or defense-related software projects
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security scanning tools
