Development Officer
Children's Hope Alliance is dedicated to promoting child advocacy and community engagement. The Development Officer will be responsible for fundraising, community relations, and supporting the agency's mission through various events and public speaking.

Responsibilities
Cultivate existing donor relationships in assigned area. Work to grow the identified giving program and annual fund donations
Work withing the agency to further fundraising through Special Events
Identify and solicit donor prospects with the goal of increasing contributions
Travel required for donor meetings and cultivation
Responsible for sponsorship solicitation for fundraising events and securing support to offset event-related expenses
Meet all fundraising budget goals on a quarterly and yearly basis
Follow all fundraising models, tour, and cultivation processes
Record all donor contacts in donor database
Identify ways to promote the agency and child advocacy in general. Requires public speaking and serving as agency representative in civic and other community groups
Assist with volunteer and Gift in Kind activities in assigned region
In conjunction with communications staff, assist with public relations in assigned region
Coordinate donor, volunteer, and community relation events in assigned region--managing event costs vs budget
Contribute to department meetings; follow department procedures and practices on donor stewardship/follow-up/reporting
May be required to photograph miscellaneous donor/volunteer activities in assigned region
Assist communications staff in gathering client success stories in assigned region
Other tasks as requested by supervisor
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; 1-3 years' related development or marketing experience including relationship building
Must be customer service oriented and possess a willingness to represent the agency to the public
Must be detail-oriented, have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Frequent weekend and evening engagements
Must be culturally sensitive to children and families and support cultural diversity throughout the program
Must also be adept at Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by agency insurance carrier
Must submit to and pass pre-employment checks, criminal records check, and DMV/MVR check
Preferred
Non-profit experience preferred
Experience with Salesforce a plus
Experience with Benevon fundraising model a plus
