This role involves overseeing and managing a team performing Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services, ensuring that projects comply with contract requirements and providing leadership in project oversight and financial management.

Responsibilities

Direct a complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program
Review and seal projects, certifying they meet contract and specification requirements
Supervise engineers, specialists, and field inspectors
Perform complex duties with minimal supervision, using advanced engineering techniques and knowledge
Oversee invoicing, manage, and monitor the financial performance of project budgets, utilizing PM dashboard access
Analyze and resolve contractor claims, ensuring project goals are achieved
Coordinate with clients, agencies, and other stakeholders to determine project requirements and approvals
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
Write and negotiate proposals as issues arise and assist with marketing strategies to support the team’s growth

Required

Must have ten (10) years of engineering experience with five (5) in major road or bridge construction
Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida
Ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state
Strong technical writing and communication skills
FDOT Advanced MOT
CTQP Quality Control Manager (Attend and pass the examination)
Complete the Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self-Study Course
Position requires a minimum of 40 hours a week (Salary)
