Senior Field Service Engineer – Pharmaceutical Process Equipment
YER USA is a European industry leader in sterile technology looking to establish its US operations. As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will install, commission, and maintain complex pharmaceutical equipment while helping to build the US subsidiary and develop a service team.

Responsibilities
Install, commission, maintain, and repair complex sterile technology equipment for pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers across the United States (with frequent travel - approx. 70–80%)
Train and instruct customers on equipment operation and maintenance
Provide expert troubleshooting, technical consultation, and proactive support to ensure customer satisfaction
Promote a positive company image in every interaction, whether in person, by phone, or in writing
Assist with practical aspects of establishing the US operation, including identifying and arranging warehouse space, coordinating shipping and supplies, and supporting basic administrative tasks to get the office running smoothly
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for all local operational needs, collaborating closely with colleagues in Europe
Document and track customer interactions, service activities, and equipment performance
Develop processes and standards that will scale as the business grows
Play an active role in recruiting and mentoring future service technicians and engineers as the US organization expands
Contribute ideas and solutions to continuously improve our service delivery, technical documentation, and customer support practices
Qualification
Required
Technical degree or equivalent training in mechanical engineering, plant engineering, mechatronics, electronics, or a comparable field
At least 3–5 years of experience in field service roles involving complex capital equipment - experience in pharmaceutical or sterile process equipment is strongly preferred
Hands-on expertise in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair
Experience working independently in dynamic environments with high customer expectations
Strong organizational skills and the initiative to take ownership of operational challenges
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset—able to anticipate needs and drive continuous improvement
Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented, professional demeanor
High willingness to travel throughout the US (approx. 70–80%) with frequent visits to customer sites, particularly in the Raleigh, NC region, but also regularly to Europa / Germany for training purposes
Valid driver's license
