Sustainability Leadership Program Coordinator

Lafayette College is hosting a Sustainability Leadership Program and is seeking a Program Coordinator to supervise and mentor students during this week-long camp. The Coordinator will ensure the safety and well-being of the students while facilitating activities focused on sustainability and community engagement.

Responsibilities

Supervise students during meals, free time, special events, and field trips

Ensure students are on time to all activities, providing transportation as needed

Work with students to keep them engaged and involved in activities during the program

Model positive behavior for students and ensure students act in accordance with College guidelines at all times

Serve as a leader, counselor, disciplinarian, and role model throughout the program

Follow all guidelines to ensure student safety during all activities and trips

Ability to present effectively to small and large groups and to work productively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

Ability to exercise sound judgement and employ decision making skills under the guidance of the supervisor

Ability to grasp, retain, and disseminate an extensive and varied body of information

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Must enjoy structured and unstructured time with young people

Preferred

Preferred that the applicant has a drivers license and is able to take the Lafayette driver certification test in advance of the camp to drive campers via van
