Responsibilities
Work independently to perform transmission design tasks, CADD design, develop design drawings and documents, perform PLS-CADD modeling and/or analysis, prepare material lists, perform field reviews, and other tasks for simple projects
Prepare transmission related drawings such as plan and profile drawings, structural details, foundation details, and other engineering drawings
Perform calculations, reports and designs on transmission line design projects to support engineers
Understand client standards and complete small projects and simple to moderately complex tasks, exercising judgment in design criteria, evaluation, and design, subject to review by engineers
Communicate with Project Managers and Project Engineers
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Microsoft Office product experience
General background-related experience
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred
Associates or technical school degree or combination of education and relevant experience
2+ years of experience developing CADD layouts/designs from engineering designs preferred, or equivalent education
Proficiency using Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and MicroStation or Inroads etc
Experience with or ability to learn PLS-CADD transmission line modeling software
Ability to be a lead technician and work closely with engineering staff
Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
