Palantir Architect
AppLab Systems, Inc is seeking a Palantir Architect to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. The role involves leading the design and implementation of scalable Palantir Foundry solutions, optimizing data pipelines, and collaborating with stakeholders while mentoring junior developers.
Responsibilities
Technical Architecture & Design
Lead design and implementation of scalable, secure Palantir Foundry solutions—covering ontology modeling, data pipelines, and workflows
Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation pipelines using PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, and TypeScript. Develop interactive applications and dashboards using Workshop, Quiver, Slate
Data Integration & Governance
Integrate diverse data sources (structured, semi, unstructured), ensure data quality, lineage, and establish access controls and compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA, NERC, FERC)
Performance Optimization
Identify and fix performance bottlenecks in pipelines and applications; enforce best practices for scalability, reliability, CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Stakeholder Collaboration & Mentoring
Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineers, and data scientists to capture requirements and define solutions. Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing
Pre-sales & Technical Leadership
Contribute to proposals/RFPs, technical estimates, client presentations. Stay updated on Foundry advancements; guide adoption and participate in code reviews
Qualification
Required
10+ years in data engineering, architecture, or solution development; several years hands-on with Palantir Foundry
Proficient in Palantir Foundry concepts (ontology, datasets, workflows, applications, APIs). Skilled in Python, TypeScript (plus Scala/SQL), Spark/PySpark
Strong grounding in ETL/ELT, data modeling, warehousing, CI/CD processes. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Knowledge of data governance frameworks, security best practices, and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, NERC, FERC)
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, leadership. Proven ability to translate technical concepts to diverse audiences
