Responsibilities

Oversee and guide the delivery of specific transformation initiatives from inception to delivery
Provide technical oversight and guidance of the analysis of current operational processes and workflows, identification of bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and recommendation/implementation of specific process improvement by deep-diving technical investigations to diagnose complex operational issues, identifying root causes, and proposing innovative engineering-based solutions tailored to the process area
Provide technical oversight and guidance of the design, implementation, and sustainment of new workflows, systems, and procedures tailored to the needs of the process area
Collaborate closely with specific process owners and key stakeholders and operations teams to ensure buy-in and successful adoption of changes and to integrate new solutions, ensure technical sustainability, and manage the technical change process within the process area
Provide hands-on training and ongoing support to the teams directly impacted by the transformation
Establish and monitor technical performance metrics and KPIs relevant to the business unit's operations, ensuring that the inefficiencies are quantified and that implemented solutions achieve desired outcomes and tangible results

Required

Industrial Systems Domain and Contextual Expertise: Profound understanding of key challenges and hands-on experience within the Industrial System process areas
Hands-on Technical Leadership: Proven ability to provide direct technical leadership, guide implementation teams, and troubleshoot complex technical issues in an operational setting
Process Improvement, Problem-Solving & Analysis: Exceptional analytical skills for complex technical process improvement and problem-solving at the operational level, with a focus on practical, implementable solutions. Proficiency in mapping current and future state processes and identifying areas for improvement by identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and root causes of performance gaps
Solution Design, Implementation & Execution: Strong skills in designing, building, implementing, and sustaining robust technical solutions that address specific operational pain points and deliver measurable improvements. Capable of fast-tracking and implementing changes directly impacting their specific operational unit
Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders within the process area and across the organization. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders within the process area and across the organization to ensure project success and adoption
Project Management: Ability to manage the technical aspects of transformation projects from conception to completion within a specific operational context, including technical scope, resources, and timelines. Ability to manage projects from inception to delivery, including planning, scheduling, and risk management
Adaptability & Agility: Ability to quickly adapt to the specific and evolving technical needs of the process area, driving agile and iterative technical development. Openness to iterations in project scope and ability to respond to specific, evolving needs of their business unit
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing), Computer Science, or a highly specialized technical field relevant to the business unit
10+ years of hands-on technical leadership experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or business transformation within a specific industry or operational domain
Proven track record of designing and implementing significant technical improvements within a specific operational environment

Preferred

Process Improvement and Problem Solving Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt or equivalent are highly desirable
