Responsibilities

Conducting various EHS assessments and surveys at the site
Industrial Hygiene monitoring
Sound level surveys and personal noise dosimetry
Environmental Seasonal reports - Tier II, Form R, AIMS report, plan approval extensions, compliance history reports
Biodiversity activities - planning, volunteer coordination, assist on day of activity, written report completion
Partner with R&D to perform Safety inspections of laboratories
Assistance with development and coordination of Emergency Response Team drills and training
Coordination and/or assistance with planning of Health and Safety promotional activities
Assisting, preparing and/or delivering EHS training
Conducting various EHS research using commonly used standards and regulations such as OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI and ASHRAE
Participate on Site-Wide Safety Committees

Required

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree (Juniors, Seniors, or within 12 months post-graduation) in Occupational Safety or Environmental Health
Basic understanding of Industrial Safety programs and regulations, such as Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Hot Work, Material Handling, Noise, Ergonomics, Safety Data Sheets, etc
Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the duration of the 12 week internship (May/June - August 2026)
Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Powerpoint and Excel
Knowledge of data analytics software (ie, Power BI or Smartsheet)
Ability to work independently
Creative thinker and problem-solver
Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date
Completion of the immersive GSK Digital Assessment is required to proceed in the application process
