Responsibilities
Draft/prepare discovery responses with objections and document production
Order records
Coordinate experts
Communicate, via phone, emails, and written correspondence, with court coordinators, outside counsel, clients/adjusters, mediators, etc. to provide details and updates on upcoming events and various items
Compile various documents and case information to provide to experts, mediators, client/adjusters, outside counsel
Keep calendar up-to-date with case information and new developments including trials, hearings, deadlines
Draft, file, and serve various documents including, deposition notices, hearing notices, scheduling orders, motion to quash, motion for continuance, proposed orders, etc
Draft legal documents, including but not limited to correspondence, pleadings, discovery responses and requests, controverting affidavits, Expert Designations, and motions
Electronic filing with the court
Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, mediations, and inspections
Comfortable with docket management
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in a law firm atmosphere
Well-organized
Deadline-driven
Paralegals: 3 years
Preferred
Civil litigation/insurance defense and personal injury experience
Microsoft Office: 3 years
