Responsibilities
Conducts analog and digital circuit design and simulation
Plan and execute the qualification testing for new products
Contribute to hands-on experimental work on prototype components, circuits and assemblies
Initiate and develop relationships with internal partners and external suppliers
Consistently ensures that business is always conducted with integrity and that behavior aligns with SubCom policies, procedures, and core values
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Engineering/Physics or equivalent experience required
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience required
Electrical or Mechanical engineering, data analysis, computer programming experience required
Strong experimental and laboratory skills
Ability to solder, complete electronic circuit assembly and wiring skills
A self-starter with the demonstrated ability to take initiative, who can proactively identify issues/opportunities and recommend actions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Articulates thoughts and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively
Experience working with single mode optical fiber, fiber optic components and optical measurement techniques
Strong results orientation with a proven track record of flawless execution and strong attention to detail
