Responsibilities
Provide sales tax treatment guidance within the Equipment Finance industry
Ensure all tax documentation is captured accurately and meets internal Tax Department standards
Support sales and use tax audits as needed
Review and validate sales tax exemption certificates for accuracy and completeness
Perform monthly multi-state sales tax compliance, including return preparation and filing
Conduct sales tax research and interpret state and local tax codes
Reconcile general ledger accounts related to sales and use tax
Support process improvements and automation initiatives for sales and use tax compliance (technology enhancements a plus)
Qualification
Required
Experience as a Sales & Use Tax Analyst
Knowledge of compliance with state and local tax requirements
Ability to minimize sales and use tax exposure
Experience in the Equipment Finance industry
Ability to provide sales tax treatment guidance
Experience in capturing tax documentation accurately
Ability to support sales and use tax audits
Experience in reviewing and validating sales tax exemption certificates
Experience in monthly multi-state sales tax compliance, including return preparation and filing
Ability to conduct sales tax research and interpret state and local tax codes
Experience in reconciling general ledger accounts related to sales and use tax
Ability to support process improvements and automation initiatives for sales and use tax compliance
