CoxHealth is a leading healthcare system serving 25 counties across Southwest Missouri and Northern Arkansas. They are seeking an Internal Agency Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in various settings and assist them in reaching their highest level of functioning.

Responsibilities

Evaluates and treats patients in acute, post-acute, and outpatient settings throughout CoxHealth facilities

Treats patients of all ages as ordered

Assists patients to reach their highest level of functioning and makes recommendations for the next level of care

Plans and implements prevention, habilitation, and/or rehabilitation services including mobility devices, counseling and orientation for mobility, pain relief, increasing strength, and improving or correcting disabling conditions

Participates in a rotation to various units, hospitals, and/or outpatient settings as determined by Therapy Services leadership

Completes all Hip and Knee Replacement Program curriculum and the annual education module(s) assigned

Required

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program

Active Missouri licensure for Physical Therapy. (Temporary licensure not accepted)

BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire

Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required

Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision required

Has demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and applications of new principles and/or techniques
