Corporate Recruiter II - Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation
Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation (UIC) is seeking a Corporate Recruiter II to support UIC and its Alaska-based subsidiaries by managing the full-cycle recruitment process. This role involves partnering with hiring managers, developing sourcing strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulations while providing a positive candidate experience.

Responsibilities
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process to meet staffing goals and established timelines
Participate in career fairs and community events to promote UIC and its Alaska-based subsidiaries as an employer-of-choice
Partner with hiring managers to review staffing needs, clarify position requirements, and develop effective recruiting strategies
Maintain consistent communication with hiring managers regarding candidate progress and requisition status
Ensure all recruiting activities comply with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies
Create and implement sourcing strategies to attract active and passive candidates through job boards, networking, employee referrals, and industry events
Screen and evaluate candidates for experience, skills, and alignment wtih UIC's values and organizational culture
Schedule interviews, gather hiring manager feedback, and facilitate timely communication throughout the process
Conduct pre-employment reference checks and assist with preparing and extending offers of employment
Maintain hiring and onboarding tracker to monitor pre-employment activities through new hire onboarding. Work with HR team and subsidiary staff to ensure smooth new hire onboarding experience
Contribute to HR and recruiting initiatives by supporting reporting, monitoring key metrics, and identifying opportunities for process improvement
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Minimum of five (5) years of recruiting experience, preferably in a corporate or government contracting environment
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience using creative sourcing methods to identify and attract qualified candidates
Experience with one or more Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong grammar and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and leadership
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver's license
All employees must pass Non-DOT pre-employment drug screening and follow all Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program guidelines and requirements
Preferred
Holds active Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR), or Professional Recruiter Certification (PRC)
Experience with iCIMS applicant tracking software
Knowledge of Alaska Native Regional or Village Corporation environments
