The Compliance Investigator will conduct independent investigations to gather evidence of fraud, abuse, and other violations, as well as perform background checks for staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision

Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas

Assists in developing and administering policies, procedures, and plans

Assists in preparing comprehensive and detailed reports of investigation

Conducts investigations to ascertain facts and obtain evidence on alleged violations and misconduct; interviews witnesses and obtains statements

Monitors compliance with terms of licensure

Compiles and prepares summary reports, maintains case files and documentation of case resolutions, and tracking data for legal requirements

Conducts WIC Vendor Monitoring visits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Investigates complaints of frauds of abuse

Conducts WIC Vendor background investigations

Required

High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related experience

Some positions may require a valid driver's license

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of related experience
