Responsibilities
Create structural shop drawings and detailed rebar layouts that meet specifications, applicable codes/standards, and reliability requirements
Conduct site visits to assess conditions and resolve design or installation constraints
Prepare/review plans and drawings; execute detailed drafting work
Assist with material takeoffs and cost estimates; present pricing
Contribute to civil engineering design tasks as needed
Maintain organized engineering records and project files
Draft and share project descriptions, schedules, and milestones
Analyze product design, customer needs, and performance standards; define project specifications
Evaluate contractor bids, negotiate with vendors, and coordinate technical work via meetings and proactive communication
Qualification
Required
BS degree
Fluency in AutoCAD; skilled at interpreting architectural, structural, and process drawings
Track record solving complex technical problems spanning multiple technologies; able to advise and troubleshoot
Leadership capabilities to guide cross-functional teams; strong influencing skills
Ability to coach, motivate, and elevate team performance and engagement
Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative approach
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint
Occasional travel (typically - Comfort making independent, well-reasoned decisions
