Responsibilities

Inspect vacated apartments and complete a make-ready checklist
Inform Service Supervisor and Community Manager of needed services and repairs
Routinely perform the following duties in order to restore the apartment to “market ready” status:
Check all lights and replace as necessary
Replace or repair windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors
Check appliances and inform Maintenance Supervisor of problems
Assist in changing or removing appliances from apartment
Make keys
Check faucets and sink plugs and repair/replace as necessary
Assist with painting duties
Repair or replace mini-blinds, ceiling fans, etc
Repair plaster holes in walls
Inspect bathroom tiles, perform minor repairs/replacements
Change A/C filters
Lend assistance during “trash-out,” move heavy/bulky items to dumpster
Assist in keeping grounds clean at all times
Assist maintenance when requested
Deliver notices to all apartments
Report supply needs to Service Supervisor or Community Manager
Think safety first and ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected promptly
Communicate effectively with residents, future residents, visitors, vendors, and team members while presenting a positive, professional image
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager

Qualification

Required

High School diploma or equivalent
General knowledge of all things pertaining to property maintenance
Skill in the safe use and maintenance of power tools
Willingness to work a flexible workweek including weekends
Able to multitask and meet deadlines
Knowledgeable of pertinent laws including EPA and OSHA regulations
Must be able to walk the property which includes climbing stairs
Able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, push, pull, reach, carry supplies and stand for extended periods of time
