Professional Auditor
The State of South Carolina is looking for eager and enthusiastic individuals to join their audit team as Professional Auditors. This entry-level position involves conducting financial and compliance engagements related to state entities and requires strong communication skills and a general knowledge of accounting principles.

Responsibilities
Conduct financial and compliance engagements related to state entities or to financial and statistical reports filed by providers of Medicaid services
Assist the engagement team to develop an approach to the assignment
Develop workpapers to support the engagement methodology
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
General knowledge of the principles of accounting and auditing
Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel to engagement sites which are generally located within the metropolitan Columbia area; minimal overnight travel required
Preferred
A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 in major and overall preferred
A bachelor's degree which includes at least 24 credit hours of accounting, 12 of which must be junior-level courses or above
Interest in seeking CPA
