eDiscovery, Senior Specialist

Charles Schwab is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated eDiscovery, Senior Specialist to join their growing eDiscovery Team in the Legal Operations Department. This role involves providing direct support for litigation, regulatory, and internal investigation matters, focusing on the execution and monitoring of eDiscovery tasks and processes.

Responsibilities

Provide support for internal teams on eDiscovery processes, policies, and technology tools
Assist with establishing new or revised eDiscovery workflows, including onboarding of new technology platforms
Coordinate and schedule meetings with internal and external stakeholders regarding eDiscovery processes
Maintain detailed tracking logs for ESI collections to ensure defensible record keeping
Data entry for key operational data points in the eDiscovery process
Assist with eDiscovery vendor coordination and communication for data processing, hosting, and document review services
Assist with periodic reviews of legal hold notices and in-place preservation. Monitor and respond to communications sent through group mailboxes
Monitor eDiscovery project timelines and milestones and coordinate additional resources as needed
Support special projects and other duties as assigned
Stay informed of changes in eDiscovery law, best practices, and technology, recommending process improvements as appropriate

Required

Minimum of 3 years of experience in one of the following: litigation paralegal, legal project assistant, eDiscovery vendor support services, or equivalent work experience, ideally in the financial services sector
High degree of professionalism, discretion, and adherence to confidentiality
Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills. Strong Excel skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to interact with attorneys, IT personnel, business partners, and outside vendors
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship

Preferred

Experience working in the financial services industry or a highly regulated environment preferred
Certification in eDiscovery (e.g., ACEDS, CEDS) is a plus
