As a Civil Engineer on the Development Engineering team, you will advance complex clean energy projects and manage site design from early feasibility through construction, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure technical clarity and successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities
Support project development from concept to completion, identifying and mitigating design, budget, and schedule risks, with a focus on civil engineering
Own and manage site constraint maps, layouts, and designs, coordinating with external consultants and EPCs
Optimize civil site layouts for efficient land use, considering factors like equipment selection, topography, environmental constraints, and permitting requirements
Manage and coordinate site technical diligence activities, including hydrology and geotechnical studies
Provide civil engineering support during EPC contract execution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
2+ years experience in design, project management, or construction of renewable energy projects
Ability to identify and mitigate risks, analyze opportunities, and make sound engineering decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a cross-functional and collaborative environment
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
Preferred
Solid understanding of civil design principles, technical diligence processes, and EPC construction standards for renewable energy projects
Working knowledge of wind and/or solar, including system design, optimization, and cost drivers
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D
Familiarity with automated layout tools and geospatial analysis software
Experience in grading, stormwater management, and erosion control
Experience with all phases of project development, from siting to construction
