Responsibilities

Assisting in development of Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs
Supporting daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP
Dispositioning non-conforming material using root cause and corrective action analysis and working on corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence
Assisting with driving Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate and reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using Core / Six Sigma principles and data driven decision making
Assisting with tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics into processes
Providing real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators; in-house as well as the supply base

Required

Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience preferably in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Engineering and/or manufacturing experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance
Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Preferred

Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience with automated tooling, machinery and programming and proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE)
Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines and an innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology
Knowledge and ability to apply CORE principles and techniques
Ability to work in a team environment with the organizational skills needed to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Experience with Refurbishment and Repair requirements and processing of Government Furnished Material (GFM) or Equipment (GFE)
Current DoD security clearance (secret)
