Student Affairs Data Analyst
Iowa State University is seeking a Student Affairs Data Analyst to join the Office of Assessment, Research, and Divisional Effectiveness. The role involves conducting research and providing data analysis to support student success initiatives and inform divisional and institutional policies and practices.

Responsibilities
Collect and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data
Prepare reports and conduct analyses using a variety data sources and tools (e.g. MS Excel, Power BI, R, SPSS, Stata)
Compile data for internal and external audiences
Maintain and create new data visualizations for division staff and the university community
Analyze divisional and institutional data and survey results
Provide support in compiling, cleaning, managing, and analyzing data to inform divisional and University practice and policy discussions
Respond to ad hoc requests
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience
Preferred
Degree or certification in a quantitative or analytical discipline (e.g., data science, statistics, computer science, research methodology), or a related field such as education or social sciences
Higher education and/or student affairs experience
Strong experience in data analytics, assessment, research, measurement, student success, and/or statistics
Experience conducting data analysis with statistical packages (Stata, R, SPSS, etc.); ideally with education, student success, and/or outcomes-related data
Experience with both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
Experience developing and implementing surveys
