Responsibilities
Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses using tools like SolidWorks Simulation, ABAQUS, NASTRAN, or FEMAP
Develop and refine models for FEA and simulation, helping to size and optimize spacecraft components
Support spacecraft design by modeling components and sub-assemblies in CAD
Prepare technical reports and present analysis results at internal and customer design reviews
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to solve technical challenges, and meet performance and reliability standards
Contribute to proposals and technical presentations for advanced aerospace projects
Contribute to algorithm development or light coding using Matlab or Mathematica
Engage with suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues and support technical interchange meetings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related STEM field required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry, with preference for experience in the space sector
Minimum of 4 years' experience with one or more commercial simulation/analysis tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation, ABAQUS, NASTRAN, FEMAP, Thermal Desktop, StarCCM+)
Strong background in mechanical and aerospace engineering fundamentals (statics, dynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, material properties)
Experience with Matlab or Mathematica for algorithm support or light coding
Demonstrated experience authoring technical reports and presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences
The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving mindset and passion for working in a team-driven culture
Preferred
Advanced degree preferred
Four years of experience with Matlab or Mathematica preferred
Top Secret Security Clearance a plus
