Quality Engineer (Aerospace/Defense)
Creare is a leading engineering research and development firm in Hanover, NH, seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure project compliance with rigorous standards. The role involves direct project execution, communication of requirements to project teams, and collaboration with various departments to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Interpret project-specific contractual requirements into executable actions for the project team
Communicate requirements to the entire project team, including engineers, manufacturing personnel, purchasing, inspectors, receiving/QC inspectors, contracts, etc
Work directly with project teams to ensure contractual requirements are met
Identify potential improvements to corporate-wide procedures to enhance product quality and efficiency
Interact with customer technical and quality assurance personnel to understand requirements and address issues
Collaborate with contracts and other corporate departments on project-specific issues
Lead customer quality assurance audits
Understand ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards and maintain/develop working knowledge of other relevant standards
Qualification
Required
An engineering degree from an ABET accredited institution is required
At least 3 or preferably 5 or more years of relevant experience in an aerospace or electronics manufacturing environment
Excellent organizational skills
Attention to detail
Concern for accuracy
Strong written and oral communication skills
Understand ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards and maintain/develop working knowledge of other relevant standards
Preferred
Certifications such as Lead Auditor, internal auditor, or ASQ Quality Engineer certification
Knowledge of Six Sigma
