Lithia & Driveway is a Fortune 500 company and one of the largest automotive retailers in North America. The Controller/ Accounting Business Manager will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with internal controls, and lead a team while maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

Maintain dealership financial records, ensure accurate month-end closings, and review general ledger schedules

Monitor operational income statements, conduct fraud prevention reviews, and ensure adherence to internal controls and LAD financial policies

Oversee accounts receivable collections, daily bank postings, and bank reconciliations

Review or prepare payroll and accounts payable for accuracy and timeliness

Conduct physical vehicle inventories, reconcile parts inventory, and support fixed asset reporting

Resolve issues related to inbound and outbound vehicle documentation

Partner with dealership leadership (especially the GM), manage a team of 2–10 staff, and support hiring, training, and performance management

Ensure compliance with manufacturer programs, warranty claims, and reporting requirements

Participate in budgeting (up to $8MM), support stores with up to $200MM in revenue, and contribute to M&A activities
