Building Automation Field Engineer Intern - Summer

Responsibilities

Design of complete building automation systems including the specification and sizing of controllers, electromechanical devices, sensors, networks, and computer hardware
Documentation of the BAS design (i.e. submittals) and revision control of the resultant documents
Final documentation of the building automation system that incorporates all changes made since issuance of the submittal
Adherence to project requirements and company and customer standards in all aspects of design, programming, and implementation
Technical support during the selling process to ensure that sales representatives accurately address customer requirements and propose the best possible solutions
Identification and communication of project opportunities and risks related to cost, time, and technical considerations
Adherence to safety standards. High regard for employee and subcontractor safety
Adherence to ethics standards. Exemplifies the Carrier code of ethics
Other duties as assigned

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Building Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science
3.0 or higher GPA
Must be a US Citizen or able to work in the US without sponsorship
Possess and maintain valid and current Driver's License and be insurable by our company's insurance carrier
Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment in excess of 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs

Preferred

Basic understanding of control logic
Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control preferred
Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation preferred
