Senior Application Programmer/Database Management Specialist
Maverc Technologies is seeking a Senior Application Programmer/Database Management Specialist to provide full lifecycle application support and database administration for critical Fire and Emergency Services and Police Center applications. The role involves expert-level programming and database management in complex environments, ensuring compliance with various standards and leading database modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities
Experience as an application programmer on large-scale DBMS, knowledge of computer equipment, and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives
Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts
Develops block diagrams and logic flowcharts. Translates detailed design into computer software
Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required product
Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation
Enhances software to reduce operating time and improve efficiency
Provides technical direction to programmers, as required, to ensure that program deadlines are met
Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results
Experience in DBMS system analysis and programming
Experience in using current DBMS technologies and application design using various database management systems; experience with DBMS internals
Must be capable of providing highly technical expertise and support in the use of DBMS. Must be able to evaluate and recommend available DBMS products to support validated user requirements
Defines file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user applications
Develops, implements, and maintains database backup and recovery procedures for the processing environments and ensures that data integrity, security, and recoverability are built into the DBMS applications
Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) in order to support Low Code/No-Code Development Platform models
Experience using low-code/no-code business process modeling notation (BPMN) tools
Developing application/process automation software based on BPMN models, experience using software tools such as Appian, Salesforce, Nintex, etc. with Microsoft SQL Server databases and Microsoft .NET development environment
Experience in agile and hybrid low-code application development
Qualification
Required
Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at time of application submission
Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority
DoD Approved 8570/8140 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II
