2nd Shift Sr. Equipment Technician

Knowles Precision Devices is a company focused on manufacturing and equipment maintenance. They are seeking a Senior Equipment Technician responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility support equipment.

Responsibilities

Tool Installation & Qualification: Owns full lifecycle of advanced tools; defines long-term strategy. Lead installation, startup, and qualification of equipment
Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure stable operation
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Develops predictive models; applies machine learning and analytics. Develop and execute maintenance schedules and predictive models to extend tool life and improve uptime
Equipment Performance Monitoring: Track tool metrics such as uptime, MTBF, and throughput
Spare Parts & Vendor Management: Leads vendor selection, contract negotiation, and roadmap alignment. Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for tool upgrades, repairs, and support
Process-Equipment Interaction: Leads integration of process and equipment; drives optimization. Collaborate with process engineers to ensure equipment supports process requirements and stability
Continuous Improvement: Leads cross-functional equipment-related improvement projects focused on cost reduction, reliability, and performance enhancement
Good understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other systems
Must be able to operate a forklift
Must have recent PLC, programmable logic control experience
Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics, circuits

Required

2 year technical degree or 3 years of experience maintaining electrical and mechanical systems
Good understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other systems
Must be able to operate a forklift
Must have recent PLC, programmable logic control experience
Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics, circuits
Frequent climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead
Proficient computer skills
Be able to lift 30-40 lbs

Preferred

Experience with using software on manufacturing equipment
