Walmart Inc. is a leading retail corporation, and they are seeking a Senior Data Scientist for their Walmart+ Customer Product team. In this role, you will analyze large-scale clickstream and behavioral data to enhance member experiences and drive data-informed product decisions.

Responsibilities

Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to drive data-informed decisions that improve the Walmart+ member experience
Apply causal inference techniques for observational analyses where experimentation is not feasible
Use statistical power analysis and hypothesis testing to guide experimentation strategy and decision-making
Build and maintain dashboards and reporting using data visualization tools such as Tableau to monitor product performance and trends
Leverage SQL and scripting languages (Python or R) to perform deep analytical work
Apply AI/ML techniques for behavioral analysis, user segmentation, and identifying optimization opportunities

Required

4+ years of experience in Product Data Science, Analytics, or a related role
Strong experience working with large-scale clickstream and behavioral datasets
Hands-on experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and applying causal inference methods
Solid foundation in statistics, experimentation, and hypothesis-driven analysis
Proficiency in SQL and Python or R
Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau
Working knowledge of AI/ML techniques for user segmentation and behavioral insights
Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex analysis into clear product recommendations
Option 1- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field
Option 2- Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 years' experience in an analytics related field
Option 3 - 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field

Preferred

Data science, machine learning, optimization models
Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics
Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R
Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch)
