Business Development Manager - M3 MEP
Mark III Construction, Inc. is a full-service construction company seeking a Business Development Manager for M3 MEP to drive market growth and build strategic partnerships in Northern California and Northern Nevada. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, creating pursuit strategies, and maintaining long-term client relationships to support the company's growth objectives.
Responsibilities
Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business by developing relationships with key partners in strategically aligned markets
Hunt for high-value opportunities that support the company's long-term growth strategy, prioritizing projects that align with the company's strategic plan
Create and lead project-specific pursuit strategies, collaborating with estimating, operations, and leadership to position the company for success
Drive, track, and forecast a healthy pipeline to support growth
Partner with leadership to support sales strategies and annual growth plans for M3 MEP and M3 Components
Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and presentations, increasing brand visibility and establishing the company as a preferred partner in targeted markets
Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring continuous engagement and repeat opportunities that align with strategic market sectors
Qualification
Required

Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring continuous engagement and repeat opportunities that align with strategic market sectors
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business development, preconstruction, and/or sales within the California construction market
Strong professional and technical writing skills, with the ability to develop clear, compelling pursuit and client-facing materials
Proven ability to originate opportunities and influence project outcomes through early engagement and strategic relationship management
Demonstrated experience managing sales pipelines, revenue targets, and pursuit metrics, with accountability to performance goals
Preferred
Working knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems preferred
Experience in healthcare, industrial, food & beverage, life sciences, and/or education markets strongly preferred
