Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain virtualization environments using VMware/Broadcom vSphere, ESXi, and vSAN
Manage virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) with Omnissa Horizon, including user provisioning and performance optimization
Configure and administer Sonicwall NSA Appliances for network security, firewall management, and VPN setups
Handle server hardware operations, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of models such as HPE DL360p
Oversee backup and disaster recovery solutions using Datto BCDR, ensuring data integrity and quick recovery times
Support Hyper-V virtualization for Windows-based environments, including migration and integration tasks
Perform network management duties, such as monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing LAN/WAN configurations
Administer Active Directory for user management, group policies, and domain services
Manage Microsoft 365 environments, including email, collaboration tools, and security features
Integrate and maintain MFA services like RSA SecurID, along with other third-party tools for enhanced security
Respond to network breaches, server emergencies, and other incidents, implementing containment and recovery strategies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, scalability, and reliability of IT systems
Conduct regular audits, updates, and documentation of infrastructure components
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, with a strong focus on virtualization and networking
Proficiency in VMware/Broadcom vSphere, ESXi, vSAN, and Omnissa Horizon
Hands-on experience with Sonicwall NSA Appliances, HPE server hardware (e.g., DL360p), Datto BCDR, and Hyper-V
Solid understanding of Active Directory, Microsoft 365 administration, and integrations like RSA SecurID for MFA
In-depth knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, routing/switching), virtualization, storage solutions (e.g., SAN/NAS), backup/recovery strategies, and business continuity planning
Experience in handling network breaches, server emergencies, and incident response
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during outages or security events
Excellent communication skills for documenting procedures and collaborating with team members
Preferred
Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or CompTIA Network+/Security+
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation
Experience with cloud integrations or hybrid environments
Knowledge of compliance standards like GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001 (if applicable to your organization)
