Deputy Executive Director of Development
Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte is a not-for-profit organization serving over 565,000 Catholics in North Carolina. They are seeking a Deputy Executive Director of Development to support their fundraising efforts and ensure the financial sustainability of their ministries during a leadership transition.
Responsibilities
Report to the Executive Director of Development and President of the Foundation
Partner with the Executive Director of Development to garner foundational knowledge of Diocese of Charlotte’s multiple appeals and fundraising efforts
Develop deep and trusted relationships
Gain an understanding of the critical work done by Diocese of Charlotte
Commit to a strong faith-based stewardship approach to educate, encourage, and assist people of the diocese
Model the teachings of the Catholic Church and uphold Diocese of Charlotte’s mission and ethos
Develop deep, collaborative relationships with the bishop, vicar general, diocesan curial team leaders, Foundation Board of Directors, diocesan staff, pastors, principals, agency directors, laity, and all diocesan entities

Required
Strong faith-based stewardship approach
Ability to educate, encourage, and assist people of the diocese
Commitment to supporting and upholding Diocese of Charlotte's mission and ethos
Stature and credibility to develop deep, collaborative relationships with various stakeholders including the bishop, vicar general, diocesan curial team leaders, Foundation Board of Directors, diocesan staff, pastors, principals, agency directors, laity, and all diocesan entities
