Tooling Engineer

Freeway Corporation is seeking an experienced Metal Stamping Tooling Engineer who is ready for the next step in their career and aspires to grow into an engineering leadership role. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and troubleshoot compound and progressive, metal stamping tooling
Lead tooling projects from concept through production launch
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, and production teams to ensure efficient, cost-effective tooling solutions
Drive continuous improvement in tooling design, build processes, and press performance
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and toolmakers
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for tooling and process issues
Contribute to long-term engineering strategy and best practices

Required

Extensive experience in metal stamping tooling design and engineering
Strong knowledge of tool steels, press operations, and high-volume manufacturing
Proven problem-solving skills and hands-on approach to engineering challenges
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across departments
Demonstrated interest in mentoring others and taking on leadership responsibilities

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
