Paraplanner / Associate Paraplanner

Responsibilities
Prepare and update financial plans using firm planning tools
Enter, validate, and maintain client financial data with accuracy and attention to detail
Support planning strategies across retirement cash flow, executive benefits, education funding, risk management, and estate considerations
Collaborate with Financial Planners on planning deliverables
Prepare materials for client review meetings and annual planning discussions
Attend client meetings and track follow up items and implementation steps
Ensure accurate documentation of meeting notes, action items, and decisions in CRM
Develop working knowledge of client goals, family structures, and financial priorities
Partner closely with Advisors to support ongoing client relationships
Gradually assume responsibility for select client communications and follow-up under guidance
Build the skills necessary to translate financial concepts into clear, client friendly language
Coordinate with Client Service Associates, Planning, Tax, and Investment teams to ensure timely execution of client deliverables
Support account setup, transfers, and account maintenance service requests as needed
Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and firm data
Assist with additional responsibilities as needed in a collaborative, small-firm environment
Qualification
Required
2–5 years of experience in financial services or financial planning support
Baseline understanding of financial planning concepts and terminology
Working knowledge of individual tax planning fundamentals
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Excellent organization, time management, and follow through
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Intellectual curiosity and desire to grow into a client facing advisory role
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment
High integrity, sound judgment, and respect for confidentiality
Collaborative mindset and comfort working across teams
Preferred
Experience in a fee-based Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
Experience with CRM and planning systems (Junxure/AdvisorEngine, eMoney or similar preferred)
Familiarity with Fidelity and Charles Schwab institutional platforms a plus
Progress toward CFP®, CPA, or similar designation is a plus
