Responsibilities

Evaluate suitability and stability of current and potential suppliers regarding quality and technical capability
Lead suppliers through resolving discrepancies, including corrective and preventive actions as well as recovery plans
Participate on quality improvement and nonconformance reduction activities at the supplier
Support program reviews with key suppliers to ensure understanding of long-term business objectives
Communicate supplier performance to senior management
Participate in supplier pre-ship reviews, quality audits, hardware acceptance and corrective actions

Required

Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, academics, and/or mathematics related field or equivalent years of experience
3-5 years relevant industry experience in an aerospace manufacturing field with at least 2 years in a supplier quality role
Travel may increase up to 50% of the time and have a valid driver's license
Quality assurance experience in an aerospace production environment, including relevant experience in AS9100 requirements and auditing techniques
Self-initiation and excellent time management skills
Proficiencies to stay closely connected to your leadership structure and operational customers while working in the field at suppliers or remotely

Preferred

Technical background and experience on one or more of the following aerospace commodities: avionics, electronics, machined parts (including bellows and flex hoses), valves and fluid controls, composites, assembly practices, castings and forgings, tooling, or chemical processing
Relevant experience in transitioning a product from development through production operations
AS9100D Lead Auditor Certification
Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification
