Distribution Center Equipment Repair Manager

The Maintenance Manager will oversee all aspects of equipment, facilities, and refrigeration system maintenance at a high-volume distribution center, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily maintenance operations for all MHE (forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, etc.), dock equipment, and facility infrastructure
Manage, maintain, and ensure compliance for the ammonia refrigeration system, adhering to OSHA, EPA, and PSM/RMP standards
Oversee the operation, troubleshooting, and repair of tax stamping equipment, ensuring reliability and compliance with tobacco regulatory requirements
Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reduce reactive repairs
Direct, train, and evaluate maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Manage maintenance budget, including labor, spare parts inventory, vendor contracts, and capital project planning
Collaborate with operations leadership to align maintenance priorities with distribution center performance goals
Ensure compliance with all safety policies, regulatory requirements, and company standards for food safety, quality, and workplace safety. (Solid & Hazardous Waste, PSM(APSM), MHE Licensing, etc.)
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspections through a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for recurring equipment or system issues
Serve as the site subject matter expert for refrigeration and tax stamping systems, coordinating inspections, audits, and emergency response plans
Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualification
Required
5-10 years of progressive maintenance leadership experience, preferably in a distribution center, warehouse or manufacturing environment
3-5 years of progressive maintenance leadership experience, preferably in a distribution center, warehouse or manufacturing environment
Ammonia Operators (1), RETA Certification or equivalent, MA Hoisting License
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Must have clean driving record
Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
