Managing Director - Practice Leader (P&C Insurance)

The Managing Director - Practice Leader will engage with clients, drive business growth, and lead a team of consultants while overseeing project delivery and operational performance.

Responsibilities
Serve as executive sponsor for key client relationships, ensuring successful delivery of consulting engagements
Guide the design and implementation of data & analytics solutions that address core insurance business needs (e.g., underwriting, claims, pricing, customer insights)
Oversee project scoping, delivery quality, client satisfaction, and financial performance
Build and lead a team of consultants, analysts, and data professionals
Mentor senior team members, support career development, and foster a collaborative culture
Establish repeatable methodologies and best practices to ensure scalable, high-quality delivery
Help define and drive the growth strategy for the consulting practice, aligned with the firm’s overall vision
Lead business development efforts, from prospecting to closing engagements, focusing on new and existing P&C insurance clients
Represent the firm as a thought leader in the data, analytics, and insurance consulting space
Manage the financial performance of accounts, including revenue targets, utilization, and profitability
Partner with firm leadership to plan budgets, allocate resources, and manage risk
Drive operational efficiency while maintaining exceptional client service standards
Qualification
Required
Possesses 12+ years of consulting experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role focused on data and analytics strategy, delivery, and team management
Strong executive-level network within the P&C sector with a history of winning new clients and expanding business relationships
Strong understanding of P&C insurance operations, regulatory considerations, and business drivers
Deep knowledge of modern data technologies, analytics platforms, and implementation approaches
Experience building and managing consulting teams, including hiring, mentorship, and performance management
Demonstrated ability to lead complex client engagements, grow accounts, and meet revenue goals
Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and executive presence
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, etc.) preferred
Chicago, IL preferred but open to residence in U.S. Must be flexible to travel up to 50% to client locations
Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer and not requiring visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future
